‘Ghostwriting’ and ‘guest authorship’

Concerned about the reliability of scientific publications Editorial Board charges the Authors to confirm the veracity of the datas about affiliation and type of contribution (substantive, factual, financial) of all people and research institutions participated in creation of the publication. The Author confirms the authenticity of the data in the “Statement”.

This enforces a protection of the copyrights of Authors, whose role could be ignored despite of their involvement in the creation of publications (ghostwritting) and prevent the overestimate of the involvement of people who didn’t participate in any stage of development of publications (guest authorship).

For publications created in the frame of grant / research project funded by the National Science Centre, or if the publication was based on the master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation, the text of the article should include information about it.

Lack of solid information about the Authors is a symptom of breaking scientific ethics rules. In case of descry of untrue data, Editorial takes actions leading to the reveal this information and notifying institution related to the Author of the publication.
